Wow! it seems like a major cool down this past week. I guess the upper 80's does seem cool after near 100 degrees for weeks on end.
The Tarpon fishin on the beach has been good this year. Fished jumped and landed on most trips. I've been tareting 30 feet of water off of Ponte Vedra beach using sugar trout for bait with much success with king, Tarpon,Sharks and even a Warsaw Grouper!
The Redfish are starting to move into the river with some stud "bulls"
in the mix. It will continue to get better and better in the coming weeks. Watch for a storm to trigger the mullet and shrimp run, it will be insanity on the water then!.
The trout fishing is picking up daily in the lower stretches of the river, as is the flounder fishing. On A recent trip we had 9 nice trout with the biggest 2 a respectable 21 & 22" .
Now is the time to book the primo fall tides for some great fishing!
Screamin' drags,
Capt. Bryan
